Despite the word "soba" in the name of this dish, which means "buckwheat noodles", yakisoba is a dish of wheat noodles with a special sauce. Typically, Yakisoba sauce is made with soy sauce, oyster extract and the famous fish broth. It also contains traditional Japanese rice vinegar and chili peppers. Sesame seeds present in the sauce give a very appetizing look to the dish.
